Born into a very modest and large family, Marlène Jobert moved to Paris to become an actress and model. She quickly found success, earning a César Award. Jean-Luc Godard gave her a chance in cinema by offering her a role in his film “Masculin Féminin.” But her fame truly exploded in 1969 with “Le Passager de la pluie,” where she played the dazzling redhead that made her so unique. Unfortunately, she was sexually assaulted by a major American producer, whose daughter was also a victim. Today, she is less in the spotlight; Marlène Jobert has passed the torch to her twin daughters, especially Eva Green, a rising star in French and global cinema.
